If there is something that brings a community closer together, it is that of food and festivities. Such an event is the 47th Annual Crested Butte Art’s Festival which will feature incredible art, exquisite cuisine, breathtaking performances, art demonstrations, art auctions, and even children activities.
The event is one of the Summer’s biggest festivals and will be held on August 2nd through the 4th, 2019. The event will begin Friday at 5 pm to dark. Hours on Saturday and Sunday will be from 10 am to 5 pm. All the events will be set up along Elk Avenue in Downtown Crested Butte, a National Historic District, which is a scenic mountain town location. Even if the event is still far away, many people are excited about it.
Each year, the festival holds several art competitions. Last year, the winner for best in show was Brice McCasland and the Juror’s Award Winners were Pietra Wall, Scott Hildebrandt and Heinrich Toh. To view their artwork, visit the crestedbutteartsfestival website.  If you are interested in submitting your artwork for this year’s contest, or want to participate in the event, click on the application link.
This amazing festivity is not only fun, but educational and entertaining as well; and the people of Crested Butte take much pride in this wonderful event as it brings homage to their history and culture, provides local artists a platform to present their artworks, and it provides funds to sustain outreach programs for the arts in Gunnison Valley. If you wish to make a donation to this amazing event with a cause, click on the donate link. We at The Heather Woodward Team , together with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS) are very much involved with the event and will have a booth for any and all real estate inquiries that people might have. Stop by and see us. We’ll have lots of goodies and giveaways for you too!
So what are you waiting for? Visit the event on August 2 at 5 pm, to experience the opening ceremonies where artists will present their beautiful artwork, come enjoy live music, dance performances, and artist demonstrations. There will be free parking and admission is free, so bring in as many friends and family and join he fun!
