Art Festivals have become more and more popular all around the world. They are composed of professional and amateur artists that want to showcase their works to the public as well as give awareness about all forms of art. It is also a means to preserve the life of a traditional art form from a particular community. Whether you are an art enthusiast or just happened to come to a park, many people from all walks of life go to such events to celebrate these wonderful creations.
Art and their colors are expressions of artists that you can adapt to your home. Buying a big colorful artwork can make your home light up with energy, cool toned artwork can allow people to relax and experience serenity, while darker pieces of art can make your home more serious or even more fun!
Here in Crested Butte, Colorado, we will be celebrating the 46th Annual Crested Butte Arts Festival on August 3-5, 2018. This wonderful event not only will broaden your mind but everyone that participates will be helping give back to the community. The Festival has awarded small grants over the years to individuals and organizations in support of art activities that benefit the people of the Upper East River Valley. This festival is a non-profit organization with an aim to expand and inspire the artistic and cultural environment of the Gunnison Valley.
So what are you waiting for? Mark your calendars and free your schedules on Friday, August 3 – Sunday, August 5, 2018, and experience this annual festivity by coming to the Art Festival. The Festival office is located at 601 Elk Avenue in the Chamber of Commerce building in Crested Butte, CO 81224.
Come on August 3 at 5 pm and experience the opening ceremonies where many people will present their beautiful artwork including live music, dance performances, artist demonstrations, children’s activities, an art auction and exhibits.
This wonderful event is just one of the many fun and colorful festivals in Crested Butte. This is also one reason why many people fall in love with the enchanting town of Crested Butte and its many breathtaking scenic views.
