Heather Woodward Supports The REALTORS ® Political Action Committee RPAC
Crested Butte Realtor® Recognized Nationally for Protecting, Investing in Real Estate Industry
Crested Butte, 2018 —The National Association of Realtors® has announced that Heather Woodward, a Realtor® from Crested Butte, Colorado has become a Sterling investor in the Realtors® Political Action Committee. RPAC is a national bipartisan grassroots-based political advocacy organization that works to protect the real estate industry and the dream of homeownership for Crested Butte, Almont and Gunnison markets, providing support and guidance with vacation homes, commercial investments, vacant land, and residential homes. Heather Woodward has supported RPAC for the last 5 years and has been a member of the National Association of Realtors® since 2005.
Currently, Heather lives in Crested Butte South with her husband, Chris, their bundle of joy, Luke, and their golden retriever, Dixie. During her time as a realtor, Heather has achieved many awards and recognition for her outstanding professionalism, attention to detail, enthusiasm, love for the area, extensive real estate background and her strong presence, which includes an award for being part of the Top 1% of all Agents within Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Network in 2017. She is also a Berkshire Hathaway Chairman’s Circle Platinum Award Winner and the Top 10 Agent in the Gunnison County.
“I believe in the mission and vision of the RPAC and because of that, I support it full heartedly due to the fact it is significant for fighting for property owner rights in our industry. This organization has also done a lot of charitable works like providing emergency relief funds for those in need and provide scholarship grants for our younger generations who cannot afford to go to school or are deserving to be sponsored due to whatever proficient scholastic skills they have. Most importantly, I believe in the RPAC because it deals with raising and spending money to help with the election of political candidates that have our best interest as Realtors.” said Woodward.
Since 1969, RPAC has promoted the election of pro-real estate candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is to elect officials who understand and support the interests of real estate professionals and their home buying, selling and investing clients. RPAC uses its resources to seek to elect candidates that understand and support real estate and to develop public policies that allow consumers to own homes and build their communities through commercial investment. Heather’s investment will be applied to supporting homeownership, commercial real estate transactions, and the very future of the real estate industry.
Current REALTOR priorities include working with the Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service on how the new Tax law will be applied and administered, working to reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program, and preserving Net Neutrality.
The National Association of Realtors®, “The Voice for Real Estate,” is America’s largest trade association, representing 1.3 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
