Prater Cup In Crested Butte
It is still winter in Crested Butte, which only means one thing, continuous fun outdoor activities. You can enjoy numerous fun winter activities here like trying out the Zip-line tours, bringing your kids to the kids night out, try uphill skiing, free guided mountain ski tours, snowshoe tours, snow biking, snowmobile tours, fat biking and much more particularly in the Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR).
During this time, skiing and snowboarding activities will be offered which you can try on your own or hire an expert to teach you for all skill levels. There will be different trails to choose from and chairlifts with the ability to carry 20,020 people per hour, covering 1,547 acres will be accessible.
Since Crested Butte will have tons of winter activities, this will draw many locals and tourists to come and participate. This in return draws non-government organization, the government, business and much more to sponsor and cater events and competitions. Examples of these events and competitions are the Fat Biking Championship, the CBMR Opening Ceremony, the Elan’s Women weekend, the IFSA Junior Regional Freeskiing Competition and the 2 Star Freeride World Qualifier.
The most current all-day event will be the Crested Butte’s marquee annual youth ski race on February 22 through 25, 2018. The event will bring 250 of Colorado’s top 12 and 13-year-old alpine ski racers to Crested Butte. The Prater Cup is always a fun and exciting for the competitors, their families, their friends and fans all together. If you are confident, fine with it and believe that your child is suited for some high-speed skiing and tons of fun as these athlete’s look to qualify for the Junior Olympic team and the chance of beating out their competitors in the annual Nations Cup team event. The competitors will compete with other players to become the best but they will also have fun and meet new friends and promote sportsmanship as they will be divided up into 18 different Nations/teams.
The schedules of the event will be the Super G Training on International to Rustler’s Gulch to Buckley finish area on Thursday, February 22, 2018, the Super G race day on International to Rustler’s Gulch to Buckley finish area on Friday, February 23, 2018, the Giant Slalom on International to Rustler’s Gulch to Buckley finish area on Saturday, February 24, 2018, and the Slalom on Buckley on Sunday February 25, 2018.
Do note however that competitors of the Prater Cup Races must complete an online form from the my.ussa.org. website. Lastly, the register must be completed no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 18 to avoid the late fee.
